Dweller Campground

The very first step for your village is the campground. This is where the 1st Gaiaship is built to be the operations homebase and clubhouse. This is also the example showcase Gaiahouse for the applicants to see in person. It will have amenities such as mens and ladies bathrooms with showers. A methane digester will provide the fuel to heat cystern water for all hot water needs and fuel for a stove in a cummunity kitchen.

The Dweller Campgrounds are where applicants stay during their 30 day orientation. After being voted in, if they wish to stay longer until they have the funds to cover their share, they may stay for $100 a month. It is customary that they pay additional monthly amounts to accumulate the funds for their share puchase. Community hours guidelines are also followed at the Dweller Campground, for all Dwellers, based on the community needs. The property will be set up with a small scale forest farm to provide resourcesw for residents and example opportunity for them to learn our ways.

The property has set requirements to enable success for your campground

  • Property must be located in a rural area away from neighbors and city/town limits

  • Property must be at least 10 acres to provide qualification of additional construction easements such as a farmers building permit

  • Property must not be a part of any subdivision developement or fixed preplanned community

  • Property must be easement and restriction free

  • Property must not be managed by HOA or any other seperate management entity.

Other favorable details to look for:

  • A year round creek on property (watch out for flood plains) There are many benefits for having a creek, in addition to the psychlogical aspect, it can be used for our sustainable technology such as waterwheels power and aquaponics.

  • Located an hour or more from any large cities

  • Wooded

  • Old logging property that has roads and clearings already established

  • Utilities available (WE doesn't frown on utilites, we just strive to be free of them using sustainable technology. If utilites are present and the community votes to establish service, its may be covered by splitting the costs as an added al la cart fee to Dwellers in addition to monthly dues, if they so choose to subscribe to the services.

Once the Elders have been organized, the WE-Network works with them to find rural non restricted land. The WE-Network acts as the 5th Elder in dues, and responsibilities and voting power.

The property will be 10-20 acres, preferably with a natural water source and absolutely have no HOA or restrictions. needs to be owner financed as no more than $1000 down and $200 a month. This is to enable the budgeting to be sucessful. This 1st property will be the Orientation Campgrounds.
